Siberian Journal

Again in 4 years I'm going to Siberia to The Community of Vissarion. Now I'm going to the festival of Good Fruits. My friends asked me to write about this my trip when I come back home. For it I kept a journal. And now I'm posting it here for you, my dear friends.

The 10th of August, 2007 (47 year of the Era of Dawn)

Today I'm leaving Moscow. At 10-55 pm Moscow time the train is departing from Moscow railroad station for Abakan.

As usual I was afraid to be late, to get into a traffic congestion and to miss a train. So I left home very early and as a result came to the railroad station almost 2 hours before the train departure. With surprise and joy I see that I'm not the only one who came early here. Some of my friends were standing already near the electronic board, they were goers and those who came to see them off on the train. Sister Nadya was fussing, giving commissions to one, to another... This was apparent that she'd go with us with pleasure, but, alas, this time she came only to see us off. By the request of Moscow centre she bought and brought here a big candlestick, candles, salvers, golden paint - all for the Temple in Petropavlovka. And now we were taking these things with us.

The train came for entrainment only 15 minutes before the departure. Everybody hurried to their carriages. At last I found my place in the carrige, too. Ooh! Thank God, we are in the train now, the main part of emotions has finished and we can relax a little! We have 3 days and 4 nights of road before us, so we have time for a good sleep and rest and even to become tired from rest.

This way the land looks where I'm going to.

The 12th of August

We are the second day on the journey. The train has passed Tumen.

With me at the same carrige there are two brothers-believers going to Siberia, too, - Sasha and Volodya. Volodya is going there for the first time, everything is novelty for him, and his mood is elated. Besides us - 10 Moscovers, some people from Ukraine, Baltic republics and Byelorussia goes at the same train, too.

We were told over the telephone that a minibus will wait us in Kuragino railroad station. (When we come to Abakan we must change a suburban electric train going to Kuragino.) We, Moscovers, are carrying things for the Petropavlovka's Temple, so they send a minibus which will bring us to Petropavloka - the capital of the festival, straight to the house of Tanya Denisova.

"The land is alive and feels everyone of you..." (Vissarion)
